Jr. Beginner’s Blacksmithing Class ages 9-12

Jr. Beginner’s Blacksmithing Class every Wednesday in September from 4-5:30

This is a slower paced, shorter class for younger students, geared towards kids aged 9-12. We will be working through small short projects similar to our older kid’s class but at a slower easier pace for younger students. Our student to teacher ratio is low so our students are nurtured and helped every step of the way.

What will they learn? Several of the basic processes of blacksmithing, the will to get through tough projects, and a conquering a new hobby.

Each class begins with a full safety lesson and is reviewed each week with students. We provide all the tools, materials, and knowledge. Students provide safety glasses that fit them, a water bottle, and an interest in learning something new.

Students should wear long pans, full coverage shoes, leather boots are best if possible. No flappy sleeves, dresses, skirts or other flowing clothing. Tie back long hair if it’s long enough to be gathered in a ponytail.
